07 July 21 - Here comes Summer

As I sit at my laptop writing this the sun is shining, the cat is sleeping on a fresh cut lawn and thoughts of summer and the end of lockdown retrictions are in the air.
While the restrictions have played havoc with everyones life here at Boomerang Bouncy Castles hire Southport's number one for bouncy casltes, slides combo's and so much more haven't been stood still, far from it in fact with increasing our hire fleet and ecommerce side making Boomerang the company to contact when it comes to planning the all important parties. Booking early is very important as our diary is filling up quickly for the remainder of the year and we have started taking bookings already for next year.
During the lockdown we have seen so many new companies set up in the local area which can only be a good thing but customers need to know what to look for when booking you party inflatable and we've had so many people contact us to say they've been let down by companies and have ruined parties because of it, we've devised these helpful tips :-
  • Use companies who have dedicated websites and contact numbers.
  • On social media check their photos, have their inflatables been set up safely.
  • Ask to see proof of their liabilty insurance and inflatable test certificate - without the latter the first will be null and void (according to most inflatable insurance companies).
  • The Health and Safety Executive only endorse two testing schemes, PIPA and Adips, while adips tend to cover the fairground side PIPA are the main ones for inflatables. Sadly some companies say their inflatables are PIPA tested but don't have the tags proving the validity of a current test certificate.
  • Inflatables can be put on hardstanding (flags ad concrete etc) but must be secured with thnder bolts or 163kg of ballast per anchor point, most inflatables have a minimum of six anchors points so that's almost a ton in weight.
  • Don't be afraid to ask questions, after all it's your children and their friends who will be enjoying the inflatables.
  • Weather can be also be an issue, while showers are okay, inflatables should not be used in heavy or persistant rain or when thunder and lightning have been forecast.
With the easing of restrictions venues will be opening again if you don't trust the great british weather or for those like me born in the winter months we have a comprhensive list of venues which you can find here Venues/Halls
Whether you are partying in Preston, Bouncing in Birkdale or Sliding in Southport you'll find our range of Castles, Slides and Inflatable Games a must for your event or celebration nd like all of our hire items they are cleaned after every hire.
Have a Great Summer, stay safe and we'll see you soon.
